Day 2, Topics:
planning of GPR surveys/ field work
field demonstration with different antenna systems
GPR data transfer to PC, pre-processing and processing, exercise
interpretation of GPR survey data in road surveys, exercise
GPR2: GPR Technology in Road Condition Analyses
A 2 1/2 day course that focuses on developing skills for interpretation of GPR and pavement radar data, on the integrated analysis of radar data and the implementation of these results on a project and network level.
Day 1, Topics:
review of training course GPR1
the theory of pavement radar techniques, signal generation, air and metal signals, reflection method, height calibration
pre-processing pavement radar data, exercise
basics of road analysis: the process, integrated survey methods; project level and network level surveys
Day 2, Topics:
the classification used in Road Analysis
integrating Road Analysis information with GPR data, exercise
examples of the application of Road Analysis in different types of surveys: pavement damage identification, bad-quality base course, frost damages, settlements, paved roads/ gravel roads; cases, exercise
Day 3, Topics:
new research results and applications of project and network level GPR surveys; case histories
processing and presenting Road Analysis data; an overview of results with Road Doctor software, statistical processing of the results; exercise
special surveys using the Road Analysis method: bridge surveys, location of voids and cavities, etc.
