Mobile Laser Scanning technology and point clouds have a great future in road condition management! Roadscanners is offering both high speed, high accuracy mobile laser scanning services in cooperation with GEOVAP from Czech Republic as well as low cost measurements that can be done in combination with other road NDT surveys.

Roadscanners offers are based on utilization of the Road Doctor™ Laser Scanner -package (RDLS-package) developed for drainage analysis, rehabilitation design and quality control. The RDLS data has proven to provide good information in bridge deck condition analysis and surveys of newly paved asphalt. The outputs of RDLS system are cross sections (before – after), height maps and emission maps. All of the laser scanner data  can be used alone or analysed along with other NDT data such as GPR or thermal camera data.

High accuracy Quantum 3 Mapping laser scanner data is provided by Roadscanners´s partner GEOVAP. This system provides a point cloud data base from road and its surrounding up to 200 m from the road. The accuracy of the survey is 1-2 cm close to road and about 4 cm further away and, in addition to maps and CAD drawings, the data allows for hypsometric analysis of the road surface for road diagnostics, stability problem analysis as well as frost heave and settlement analysis. Surveyed data can also be combined with various maps such as digital cadastral maps, otrhophoto etc.
