Road Doctor™ CamLink
Road Doctor™ CamLink is a tool designed for recording digital videos of roads or projects and linking GPS positioning for example to ground penetrating radar data. It can record digital video or still photos from up to three cameras simultaneously, along with GPS positioning and/or data from a trip meter via serial port. In addition, it is possible to record information from one other measurement equipment, provided it has a serial port. With the GSSI SIR-10, SIR-20, SIR-2000 or Terravision ground penetrating radar, the software can also save the scan number through the serial port in the computer. The software also includes a Pavement Distress Inventory Tool for up to a four class damage or road equipment inventory.
Saved video or image information is linked to a Road Doctor™ project with Road Doctor™ PRO, Road Doctor™ Designer, Road Doctor™ GPR, Railway Doctor, RDMS or Geo Doctor™ software. Videos and images can also be viewed after linking with Road Doctor™ Contractor and with the free Road Doctor™ Viewer or RDMS Viewer software.
The software supports videos supported by Windows that come with a WDM driver. These include different firewire and USB cameras. Typically digital video cameras with firewire connections are used. The video taken can be compressed during measurements with high-performance computers or it can be processed afterwards with a video compression software.
Road Doctor™ CamLink software is available also in a Road Doctor™ CamLink -package that includes two video cameras mounted in a protective measurement compartment, GPS equipment, a high-performance laptop, necessary cables and an inverter. The benefit of this package is that Roadscanners searches and tests workable options to obtain the desired ready-to-use system for the client.

The colored bars underneath the measurement results present inventory of the asphalt damages and drainage problems. Below that is the bearing capacity classification presented for uniform road section s. The classification is based on an integrated analysis of the measurement results.
