Track Geometry Module (RDTG)

The Track Geometry Module is used for calculating parameters describing the condition of Railway Track Geometry. It can also be used to find out the frequency content of the track geometry data. The Module is available for Railway Doctor and RDMS.

All databases, which have measured values at about fixed distance intervals along the profile, can be used as source for the module. Several parameters can be calculated simultaneously and all the different database drawing methods are possible (line, bar, area, surface, from-to).

Frequency analysis is used for filtering and viewing the frequency content of the signal. The convolution filter has the same weight for all the value in the filtering operation length. FFT-filter uses a boxcar window at given limits.

Running Roughness Analysis calculates a running variance or deviation value at given operation length.

The results of the operations are shown immediately in the sub window. The operations can be saved with the view, so that the operations are visible also without the track geometry module.

The results can be also outputted in to text tables for processing and viewing in other programs.
