Structure and problem mapping
Roadscanners does concrete surveys where it is possible to locate for example
- Locate metallic and non-metallic targets in walls, floors and ceilings (rebar, conduits, post-tension cables)
- Measure slab thickness
- Structure inspection and condition assessment
- Moisture mapping, voids and crack locations
Older house cellar.
Concrete cellar had also visual moisture damages.
Survey was done with GSSI Structure Scan Mini 3D and also Percometer. Walls and floor were surveyd.
Designed to locate and explore the extend of moisture in walls, floors and ceilings in a non destructive manner. The survey is achieved using a handy high frequency antenna for easy access and fast data collection. By providing an accurate map of moisture, it’s a powerful tool for investigating moisture problems.
BEFORE PICTURE on the right: The moisture maps are made using advanced tools and processing of Road Doctor software. This moisture map was made before rehabilitation of the house cellar. The red areas show locations of high level moisture in the cellar walls.
AFTER PICTURE on the right: This moisture map was made after rehabilitation of the house cellar by drying and installing waterproofing membranes on external side of the walls. Measurement was done using the same procedure as before the rehabilitation. The new moisture map, drastically different from the previous one, shows that there is no red areas that indicate moisture.
